CONTINUED SUCCESS AT IGT & CLUBS QLD AWARDS

Brothers Leagues Club (Cairns) joined a vast array of Clubs from the Queensland Region to attend the 2011 IGT & Clubs Queensland Awards in Brisbane on Tuesday evening. Brothers Leagues Club Cairns, a 12 time winner of the “Best Club FNQ” award, continued to show a strong presence as one of the leading clubs in the Queensland region by receiving the award as the “Best Innovative Club” and the “Best Entertainment Venue” in Queensland. Brothers were also close finalists in the Best Human Resource Practices, Best Community Service and Best Club FNQ.

The state recognition of Brothers accolade for “Best Entertainment Venue” showcases the Club’s continued achievements in managing first-class International, National and Local entertainment in our region. Brothers hosted 25 concerts and shows in 2010 and hosted numerous national and local bands on the Shamrock Stage to provide free entertainment for members and guests to enjoy each week.

The Award for “Best Innovative Club” was bestowed to Brothers in recognition of their TICKETS CAIRNS facilities which are seen as an outstanding and highly successful innovative service for a Club to induct into their business structure. Brothers launched TICKETS CAIRNS, a full-service ticket selling facility, to their thriving entertainment segment in early 2010. This service was implemented to streamline internal services for those attending entertainment showcases. Brothers extended its TICKETS CAIRNS services to accommodate other businesses requiring ticketing facilities and is now a serious competitor in the region, as it is capable of providing features locally that are unavailable through the major ticket selling companies.

Brothers Leagues Club (Cairns) is a not-for-profit community club that offers a wide range of recreational and entertainment activities and gaming for its members. Brother’s mission is to ensure the long term promotion and encouragement, development & maintenance of sport and its facilities, through the operation of the most successful licensed leagues club in Far North Queensland. Brother’s continues to provide hundreds of thousand of dollars in cash and in kind donations to local charities every year.
